in 1954 when Mr. Stern bought his first piece of sheet music of a Broadway show.

Since then, Mr. Stern has amassed an impressive musical theatre
collection, including:

  • Approximately
    7,900 pieces of sheet music

  • Nearly
    1,000 long-playing records
  • Various
other items like posters, CDs, books on theatre, and more

The collection has been generously donated to SMTC for educational
purposes. Many items from the collection will be featured in online exhibits and
catalogs available on the SMTC website.  Due
to copyright limitations, only items over 95 years old will be displayed.
